Home At Last

I have to say this is my second time reminising about our trip to the beach. The first and may I say more detailed version got closed out. Ellie playing on the computer isn't always the best thing. It does entertain her--I'm not sure how it doesn't have sound, but she likes it just the same.

So here's the beach story-
The kids were great in the car.
We got there and decided to let them see the water before we went to eat.
Karson ended up wet and mad that he hd to come out of the water to go eat.
They loved the beach the first day--too much salt water in the mouth and Karson was done.
Karson loved the pools- there were 10 pools.
He would say he wanted to go to the beach but he meant the pool.
With Gramma's help Ellie went all the way under the water--YIPPEE
She even did it without holding her nose--it was great to overcome the water in the eyes issues.
Karson doesn't have those issues-- he choked a time or two then got the hang of holding his breath--he's our little fish. I am so shocked and impressed by him!
Ellie is a sea shell fan. We have tons that are now outside due to the overwhelming smell--yuck!
Dolphins are cool but not worth the boat ride to see them--my opinion only--
I guess I just forgot how sick I get and how much I hate feeling like I am going to puke!

Chad helped me learn all the rules of the beach--
"Baked" (the lifeguard) doesn't like it if
1. you put your umbrella up out of line with his
2. you go out in the water past your chest (you must at this point come back or he will relentlessly blow his whistle at you and show by pounding on his chest how deep the water can be)
3. you build a sandcatle too close to a rented umbrella ( he claims he doesn't want your hard work to go to waste when the renter comes and ruins you castle)
Oh my--so he was a "hunk" (mom's word lol)and really tan, but what a "punk"! At least we got some good laughs out of it!
Vacations are so fun, but it's nice to be home and without sandy floors and everything else for that matter.

More Kentucky vacation stories coming!
